Meryl & Charlie to tour with Investors Group Stars on Ice

(Toronto, ON) – Investors Group Stars on Ice Tour presented by Lindt is proud to announce that 2011 Ice Dancing World Champions Meryl Davis & Charlie White (United States) will join fellow World Champions Tessa Virtue & Scott Moir (Canada) for three Shows in Ontario. The award-winning production will visit twelve Canadian cities, arriving in Toronto, ON, on Friday, May 4, 2012, for a 7:30PM performance at Air Canada Centre. They will also perform at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, ON, on Thursday, May 3, and at John Labatt Centre in London, ON, on Sunday, May 6.

Stars on Ice continues to be a pioneer in figure skating by offering fans the rare opportunity to witness some of the world’s most creative and cherished champions performing together in both individual and ensemble routines. In addition to special guest skaters Meryl Davis and Charlie White, the Toronto performance features a stellar cast of world-renowned athletes, including four-time World Champion & Four-Time Canadian National Champion Kurt Browning; 2010 Olympic Gold Medalists and World Champions Tessa Virtue & Scott Moir (Canada); 2010 Olympic Bronze Medalist Joannie Rochette (Canada); Olympic Bronze Medalist & World Champion Jeffrey Buttle (Canada); Three-Time U.S. National Champion Jeremy Abbott; Two-Time Canadian National Champion Cynthia Phaneuf; 2012 U.S. National Champion Ashley Wagner; 2012 Canadian National Silver Medalists Kaitlyn Weaver & Andrew Poje; and 2011 Canadian National Silver Medalist Shawn Sawyer.

Meryl & Charlie named Athletes of the Week

From USAToday.comMeryl Davis and Charlie White won the ice dance competition at the International Skating Union (ISU) Grand Prix in Quebec City, besting Canada’s Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, their training partners and great rivals. Davis and White, the current world champions, skated an almost flawless short dance and took a .05-point lead in the free dance to beat Virtue and Moir, the 2010 Olympic gold medalists, 188.55 points to 183.34 points.  Davis and White are USA TODAY’s Olympic Athletes of the Week.
